All Masters and Wardens of the district are invited to participate in an Officer's Educational Workshop. The District Leadership team will be facilitating this event. If lodges would like their Deacons to participate those brothers are welcome as well. The Workshop will begin at 8:30 am with breakfast with the program beginning at 9. Brothers, we have once again secured the Bump Tavern at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown for our annual Ceremony of Investiture for the incoming Masters. All Worshipful, Very Worshipful, Right Worshipful and Most Worshipful Brothers plus the Master's Elect are requested to attend if possible. Our AGL's will be sending out flyer's and emails in the near future outlining the details.

The 2017 Grand Lecturers Convention for Otsego-Schoharie Masonic District will be held on Thursday, November 2 at Oneonta Lodge #466, located on Main Street in Oneonta, NY. Dress code for the evening is coat and tie (no tuxedoes please).

Dinner will be served at 6pm for the low cost of $15. The menu includes creamy chicken marsala, pasta, garlic potatoes, veggie, salad, bread, and cake. Please RSVP to Rick Ranc at Fcranc77 at gmail.com or (607) 287-0542 no later than Thursday, October 26.

The Convention will begin promptly at 7pm. The Grand Lecturers program this year includes the opening and closing of lodge in the 1st and 2nd degrees of Masonry.

Cherry Valley Lodge #334 will be hosting a trap shoot at the Sprout Brook rod and gun club on Saturday, November 4th at 10:00am.
The cost is $55.00 per person and includes 5 rounds of trap shooting and lunch. Chicken Barbecue with all the fixings.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Brotherhood Fund.

This fund raiser is open to members and the general public,please bring your family and friends as a good time is sure to had by all.
The fund raiser is open to all Men, Women and young adults(must be 12 years or older to shoot).

All participants are to supply their own guns ammo and safety equipment(Ear and eye protection).

It is time once again to begin a new masonic year. As your District Deputy Grand Master I will again be visiting every lodge and bringing our Grand Masters message and some masonic light as well. Many of you expressed an interest in having another exciting game to play this year. I received much feedback on my last game and had to ponder long on what to do to improve it this year. One of the biggest disappointments was hearing that our younger Brothers did not want to travel to play in last year’s game. So I thought long and hard on what sort of a game I could create that would get these Brothers involved, but not require them to travel. I created a puzzle game that would require Brothers from different lodges to team up to solve, but that could be done via email or social networking and was quite pleased with it. The Master of Winfield Lodge #581 and I will be hosting a Breakfast on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 394 West Main St, West Winfield, NY 13491.

8:00 AM breakfast
9:00 - 11:00 AM we will have a discussion on merging the Herkimer, Otsego and 3 Oneida Lodges into one District.

The Masters, Wardens, and Secretaries or their representatives are invited to attend. Make reservations no later than June 3 2017 so that I will be able to get enough food for everyone. A small fee of $5.00 will cover the breakfast. If their is some sort of agreement, with a little thought , who knows we might something accomplished. If you have any questions let me know.

On June one at the First Presbyterian Church on Clinton Street in Delhi, the Grand Master will present the new charter for the Delaware River Lodge , starting at 6:30, fellowship will follow in the dinning hall of the church. We need a head count to make sure we have enough food for every body. There will be a free will basket to help defer the cost.

If you would like to attend, we need reservations by Monday May 26.

All incoming Masters are required to be invested prior to their installation via this service and must bring a bible, square, and compasses with them. All past Masters are invited and encouraged to attend. Deputy Grand Master Charles Catapano will be in attendance as well. Event details are as follows:

Time: 5:30pm sharp
Where: The Bump Tavern (at the Farmers Museum) in Cooperstown

Dinner will be served after the event at Otsego Lodge on Main Street in Cooperstown. The menu includes fruit cup, ham, potato casserole, broccoli salad, carrots, rolls and dessert. The cost is $20 per person. You must make reservations with me no later than May 12 for dinner.
